At CAM, we understand how important Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are to the professionals our associations support. For many, CEUs are not just a recertification requirement – they are a vital part of maintaining their careers, staying current with industry standards, and continuing to grow in their field. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. CAM supports CEUs by creating learning opportunities that fit member schedules and certification timelines.
That’s why we partner closely with each client to ensure their members have every opportunity to earn CEUs in ways that are accessible, flexible, and impactful. Whether it’s through events, publications, or webinars, we are committed to creating learning experiences that support members throughout the year, meeting them where they are and helping them move forward with confidence.
We also recognize that CEU-approved content does more than fulfill requirements. When thoughtfully structured, it becomes a powerful way to reach new audiences, offer value to non-members, and introduce them to the benefits of engaging with the association. It’s a strategy rooted in service, but with lasting impact for both members and the organization as a whole.
Here’s how we structure CEU opportunities across major touchpoints:
-
Technical Conferences
We understand that not everyone is able to attend the annual conference, CxEnergy, in person and even those who do may not be able to sit in on every session. That’s why, as part of our commitment to accessibility and continued learning, we make a conscious effort to record each technical session. With a modest investment in videography, we ensure all sessions are captured and made available on demand. This allows both non-attendees and in-person participants to go back, revisit, and learn from sessions they missed. Through this approach, participants can earn up to 32 CEUs at their own pace and on their own schedule.
-
Webinars
Just like our approach with conferences, we help clients approve webinars for both live participation and on-demand access. Members and professionals in the industry often rely on these recordings, especially at the end of the year when their recertification deadlines are approaching. Because CAM supports CEUs across platforms, these webinars become a reliable tool for members aiming to meet recertification deadlines with ease.
-
Technical Publications
In addition to events and webinars, CAM helps clients turn existing technical resources into valuable CEU opportunities. A great example is the TAB Journal, which we successfully got approved for CEUs. Each issue now includes a short quiz that allows readers to earn credit for engaging with the material.
What makes this especially impactful is that the TAB Journal is offered free of charge to all industry professionals – not just members. This strategy not only provides continuing education in a flexible, low-barrier format but also brings in new audiences and serves as an effective lead generation tool for the association.
-
Selecting the Right Education Provider
To ensure CEUs are widely accepted, we guide clients in choosing the right education provider. Approvals should be recognized not only by the host organization, but also by related credentialing bodies across the industry. CAM supports CEUs by ensuring that the right education providers meet high standards recognized across the industry.
At CAM, we see CEUs as more than just a credentialing requirement, they are a reflection of our deep commitment to the people behind the certifications. We understand how much it means for members to stay current, stay certified, and stay competitive in their careers. That’s why we look for every opportunity, every platform, and every format to help our clients support their members’ growth. Their development becomes our mission, and their success is how we define ours.
